Eligibility Criteria for SVMCM 2024–25

·       Residency

1. The applicants must be permanent residents of West Bengal.
2. They should be in institutions within the state.

·       Educational Qualifications

The applicant has to be enrolled at one of the following levels of education:

·       Higher Secondary Level ( XI and XII ) :

Are studying in West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), or WB Madrasa Education Board

Should have at least 60% marks in the Madhyamik or an equivalent exam.

·       Undergraduate Courses:

Students should be studying for UG degrees in arts, science, commerce, engineering, medical, technical, or professional streams. At least a 60% marks in Class XII or equivalent is necessary.

·       Postgraduate Courses:

PG students in Arts, Commerce, Science, or Management streams must have scored a minimum of 53% (General) or 55% (Engineering) in their undergraduate degree.

·       M.Phil./Doctoral Programs:

Students studying in state-aided institutions in West Bengal are eligible.

·       Family Income

1. The family income for the year must not exceed ₹2,50,000 from all sources.
2. An income Certificate must be given out by a competent authority (BDO/ SDO or Gazetted Officer not below the rank of Joint BDO).

Scholarship Amounts

The scholarship is directly transferred to the student’s bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

4. Develop a special Application ID and password.

Renewal Process for 2024–25
